I have always been a water baby, swimming and artistic swimming formerly synchronised swimming, from around the age of 6.
Over the years Magdalena I progressed in both Speed and Artistic swimming programmes ran by the City of Birmingham swimming club, achieving regional honours in both sports. At 11, I secured a place in the GBR artistic swimming youth squad and during lock down competed for my club and GBR in a number of virtual national and international competitions. Following the pandemic I was been made captain of the GBR artistic youth squad. During half term school holidays I attend training at the national artistic swimming hub in Bristol with all the squad members from around the country. This, along with the 8 weekly training sessions in pools in around Birmingham and Solihull.
In 2021 I was able to compete in the inaugural European youth artistic games in Croatia.
In 2022 the youth team has competed in Croatia again where I placed 11th in my first solo competition, while the duet , which I was reserve and combination team both secured gold while the free team took silver behind the Swiss.
The 2022 European youth artistic championship was held in France. I competed in figures and the free and combination teams.
Next season 2022 - 23 I hope to trial and compete in the youth category again before hopefully switching to the junior squad in a years' time and then, well we will have to wait and see....
In addition, I am currently a student at Tudor Grange school Solihull, studying for my GCSEs.
